SASSA Grant Payment 2025 : People in South Africa who are dependent on social assistance can now be sure of their plans as SASSA has made public the new grant amounts and payment dates for the month of December 2025. The government agency has stated that with the holiday season just around the corner, it aims at the very least, giving beneficiaries their grants in time to manage the different areas of travel, shopping and family.
Updated Grant Amounts For December 2025

The beneficiaries are encouraged to check their payment method and ensure their banking details are up to date so as not to experience delays.
December 2025 SASSA Payment Dates
Due to December being a month with a lot of people visiting, SASSA has moved some dates around in order to ensure that payments are done before the holidays and the banks’ slow processing. The payment schedule for December 2025 is as follows:
- Older Persons Grant: December 2, 2025.
- Disability Grants: December 3, 2025.
- Children’s Grants: December 4, 2025.
- SRD R350 Payments: Payments throughout the month based on verification cycles.
SASSA has also informed its beneficiaries that the grants can be accessed from their accounts until the money is taken out which means there is no reason to hurry or wait in long lines.
