SASSA has also published the 2025 Festive Season Grant Timetable which is meant for beneficiaries to be informed about their payment dates. Beneficiaries Urged To Prepare Early
In the bustle of the holidays, SASSA has recommendations for the people who get financial aid:
- Take money out on non-peak days to not stand in long lines
- Make sure that banking details are up to date to avoid payment delays
- Do not disclose personal data during holidays when scams are more prevalent
- Monitor SRD status frequently, as some applications might need to be reconfirmed
SASSA also stated that payment processing will be uninterrupted and there will be no need for reapplication unless there is a specific notification to the beneficiary.
Existing Grant Amounts Not Affected
December is a month with a different schedule, but SASSA has still the same grant amounts for the month. In fact, there will be several grant increases in 2026, which will be publicly announced early next year.
