SASSA has simply hastened its December payment cycle which gives a guarantee that the R370 increase will be ready for Thursday, December 5th, 2025, for the approved applications. Although the official funds release date is the 5th, the funds may vary in time to show up depending on the beneficiary’s bank, wallet service, or withdrawal method.  The disbursement will be carried daily for the first week of December.

How to Check Your SRD R370 Status Today

The beneficiaries need to verify the status  of their application to be sure:

  • December 2025 application is approved,
  • Payment mode is confirmed,
  • Bank verification results are available,
  • Exact day when funds will be available is notified.

You can check your status via:

  • Through the SRD portal to
  • Moya App (Data-free)
  • SASSA WhatsApp chatbot
  • SMS notifications for those who have payment updates
  • If your status shows “Pending,” it means SASSA is still carrying out bank verification, and it could take a few days for the agency to provide an update on the situation.
  • The very first step to take is checking your bank details.

According to SASSA, the leading reason for the delays in payments to some beneficiaries is the presence of either neglected or incorrect banking details. By the end of this year, the beneficiaries should have verified the following:

That the bank account truly belongs to them

  • That the ID of the beneficiary is exactly the same as that of the bank
  • That the account is not frozen and is operative
  • That the mobile wallet users have their linked numbers current

SASSA will prevent new account holders from accessing their money until the entire verification process is completed, which could take up to 7 days.
