The social grants beneficiaries of SASSA in South Africa may now be one step closer towards a brighter future as the South African Social Security Agency has revealed the timings and amounts of the grants for November 2025. Additionally, the beneficiaries will not have to wait for the grants if they are aware of the social assistance rates, do monthly checks for confirmation, and stay informed about the news.
SASSA announces the grant payment dates for November 2025.
SASSA arranges the payments of the grants monthly, always following the same calendar. There are no disruptions in the monthly payments. The payment dates for November 2025 are as follows:
- The grant for Older Persons, Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 (this grant also includes the top-ups for the over-60 and over-75 age groups, etc., and the specific amounts are to be paid with the scheduled payment of the beneficiary).
- Disability Grant: Starting from November 5th, the grant is for both physical and mental disabilities and even includes the disability of one of the parents in the case of a child).
- Children’s Grants: Payments start Thursday, November 6, 2025 (these include Child Support Grant, Care Dependency Grant, etc.).
- SRD R370 Grant: Paid in phases throughout the month; usually, between November 25-30, depending on bank verification, which will show on the recipient’s account that the payment has been made.
Following the official announcement of the payment release date, banks are likely to take about 2-3 business days to credit the recipient’s account.
Newly Adjusted Grant Rates for November 2025
Starting with the older persons grants, SASSA has made a coming and going approach that has been slow but certain and at the same time. The amounts that will be given out for the different grants in November 2025 are as follows:
- Older Persons Grant 60-74 Years: Rand 2,315
- 75 Years and Older: Rand 2,335 (If applicable, including top-up support.)
- Disability Grant Basic Grant: 2,315 Rand
- Child Support Grant Regular CSG: 535 Rand
- CSG Top-Up: 265 Rand (Total: 800 Rand)
- Foster Child Grant: 1,210 Rand
- Care Dependency Grant: 2,315 Rand
- War Veterans Grant: 2,335 Rand
- SRD R370 Grant: The amount that will be paid every month without fail is 370 Rand
The reason for the changes is the government social protection promise and the reduction of households’ inflation-induced financial pressure.
Beneficiaries Verification Activities in November
SASSA has notified that the beneficiary verification procedure will apply throughout the month of November. Failure of the government to update their personal information might lead to opposite payments’ delays or even termination of payments. Hence, the beneficiaries must:
- Go to the SASSA webpage and see if their bank details are correct.
- Make sure that their ID and fingerprint data are current.
- Be friendly and provide the documents SASSA asks for.
If you are getting an SRD grant, keep on proving that you are unemployed and your income is below R624 so that you can receive the grant every month.
Collection Methods Available in November 2025
Beneficiaries can receive payments through:
- Direct bank deposits (fastest and safest)
- SASSA Gold Card at ATMs or retailers
